L'intersuola con tecnologia FLYTEFOAM è più morbida rispetto alla versione precedente, in modo da favorire una corsa ammortizzata.
L'area sotto il tallone, punto che per primo entra in contatto con il suolo, è stata riprogettata per isolare meglio gli impatti.
Questo nuovo design del tallone presenta scanalature flessibili più profonde sull'avampiede e una schiuma più morbida nell'intersuola per garantire una corsa ammortizzata.
Un resistente composto in gomma AHAR è stato posizionato nei punti di maggiore contatto della suola, in modo da garantire che la scarpa GEL-CUMULUS 22 possa resistere per molti chilometri.
